GTT Energy Unveils LNG Shipping Innovations at Gastech 2026
GTT Energy has showcased its latest innovations in liquefied gas shipping at Gastech 2026. The company presented two new offerings, a next-generation containment solution for LNG fuel and an LNG Performance Centre, which provides insights into vessel operations.
The NG NEXT1 membrane technology offers a guaranteed boil-off rate of 0.07 percent, enhancing overall vessel efficiency. GTT also announced a Joint Development Project with Shell and Lloyd's Register to explore ways to raise LNG carrying capacity and improve operational efficiency.
In addition, the company secured Approvals in Principle from major classification societies for its new designs. GTT received an Approval in Principle from Lloyd's Register for a 7.5-year dry-docking interval for LNG carriers using its membrane containment systems.
