Hegseth Warns Iran: Our Planes Can Sink Your Tankers

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has warned Iran that its oil tanker fleet could be targeted in further strikes, after Washington announced attacks on three Iranian vessels. The threat comes following attacks on US warships.

Hegseth took to social media platform X to issue the warning, stating that if Iran shoots at US ships, 'we will destroy (and sink) their oil tankers'. He emphasized that Iran's oil tanker fleet is defenceless, as it lacks a navy or air force.

'Our planes, ships & subs can strike them all', Hegseth continued. The threat has raised concerns about the escalating tensions between the two nations.
