Hong Kong Stocks Surge as Yihai International and Jiangxi Copper Report Strong Earnings
Hong Kong-listed Yihai International and Jiangxi Copper shares surged after releasing their interim earnings reports, with Yihai International's stock rising over 9% and Jiangxi Copper's gaining more than 6%. The strong performance was driven by the companies' robust growth in revenue and profit, particularly in their overseas businesses.
Yihai International reported a 14.3% year-over-year increase in first-half revenue to RMB 3.347 billion, with profit attributable to shareholders rising 21.4% to RMB 375.6 million. The company attributed its margin improvement to lower raw material prices, enhanced production efficiency, and reduced product discount-related expenses.
The group's overseas business stood out, with third-party overseas channel sales surging 46.8% year-over-year to RMB 279.1 million. Yihai International continued to advance its overseas channel development, implementing direct-operation partnership models in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
