Houthi Attack Brings Jazan Refinery to Standstill
Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery has been shut down following a Houthi attack, according to Reuters. The facility can process 400,000 barrels of oil per day and was damaged in the attack.
The refinery's integrated gasification combined-cycle complex and an oil storage area were affected by the strike, with Aramco planning to complete repairs and restart operations by August 15.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree confirmed that the group had targeted Saudi Aramco facilities in Jazan and Yanbu, further escalating regional tensions.
