Houthi Group Attacks Saudi Oil Facilities with Drones and Missiles

The Houthi group has launched multiple attacks on Saudi Arabia's southern regions, targeting oil and gas facilities. According to reports, at least four drones were launched towards the region, with one of them aiming for an Aramco-operated oil refinery.

No lives were lost in the recent attacks, but a power station near Jizan was targeted, and video footage showed firefighting teams trying to extinguish the blaze. Fortunately, Saudi Armed Forces destroyed a ballistic missile fired towards Jazan, averting what could have been a disaster.

The Houthis claim they are targeting Saudi Arabia in retaliation for its support of an internationally-recognised government in Yemen, which the Houthi group rejects. The war between the two groups has been ongoing since 2014, resulting in massive killings and displacement of people in Yemen.
