The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has escalated as Yemen's Houthi Group claimed to have targeted Saudi Arabia's east-west oil transport infrastructure, including crude oil supply and transportation facilities connecting to the Yanbu oil export hub on the Red Sea.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the strikes were in response to Saudi drone incursions into Yemen's airspace.

This move comes after the Houthi Group announced their decision to extend the blockade of Saudi's oil industry in the Red Sea, which led to a surge in oil prices.

Saudi Arabia has responded by rerouting its crude oil shipments via its east-west pipeline, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz due to the Houthi threat.
