Houthis Claim Missile and Drone Strike on Saudi Aramco Facility
A Yemeni rebel group has claimed responsibility for a missile and drone strike on Saudi Aramco's oil facility in Riyadh. The Houthis say they targeted the site with ballistic missiles and drones, causing fires to break out.
An AFP journalist at the scene reported seeing fire engines trying to put out the blaze at Aramco's refinery, while ambulances and police vehicles were stationed nearby.
The Houthis' military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said they had targeted an oil facility in Riyadh with ballistic missiles and drones. He claimed the strikes caused fires at the targeted sites.
This is not the first time the Houthis have targeted Saudi energy sites. They say their actions are a response to Saudi airstrikes on Yemeni cities.
