The Houthi movement in Yemen has claimed responsibility for a drone attack on an Aramco oil refinery in Saudi Arabia's Jazan region. The claim comes as the group intensifies military activity against the kingdom amid renewed fighting in Yemen and rising tensions in the Red Sea.

According to the Houthi-run Saba news agency, citing a military source, several drones targeted the refinery on Tuesday. However, Saudi authorities have not confirmed any damage or casualties.

The attack is reportedly in response to what the Houthis describe as violations of Yemeni airspace over the northern provinces of Saada and Hajjah.

The Houthis also claimed separate missile strikes on Saudi military vessels in the Red Sea, including a landing ship and four accompanying patrol boats off the coast of Mokha. The claims have not been independently verified.
