Houthis Strike Saudi Oil Tanker, Military Concentrations in Yemen

The Houthi group has claimed responsibility for striking a Saudi oil tanker and military concentrations in eastern Yemen. The operation targeted the Amzan, a Saudi oil tanker, in the northern Red Sea off the coast of Yanbu in western Saudi Arabia.

A direct hit from a ballistic missile caused a fire aboard the vessel, according to the Houthi group. Several other ships left the area following the attack.

The group also conducted two operations against Saudi troop concentrations in eastern Yemen using ballistic missiles and drones. One operation targeted a large convoy carrying military equipment in the Al-Abr and Al-Wadiah areas of Yemen's eastern Hadramout province near the Saudi border.

The attack reportedly damaged or destroyed more than ten trucks carrying arms from Saudi territory, while another operation targeted Saudi troop concentrations in Al-Kanais, a desert area near the border between Yemen's Marib and Al-Jawf governorates.

The conflict has raised fears of a return to full-scale war in the impoverished Gulf country, particularly with ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.
