Houthis Strike Two Saudi Oil Tankers in One Day, Claims Maritime Blockade

The Houthi group in Yemen has claimed responsibility for striking two Saudi oil tankers in one day, according to their military spokesman Yahya Saree.

The strike on the Daisy oil tanker was said to have been carried out with a ballistic missile in the Gulf of Aden, forcing the vessel to turn back. This marks the second time this week that the Houthis have claimed an attack on a Saudi oil tanker, following their earlier claim of hitting the Wafaa tanker off the coast of Yanbu.

The Houthi group's 'blockade for blockade' strategy is said to be behind these attacks, as part of their maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia. However, Saudi authorities have yet to comment on the claims.
