Hurricane-Free Season Boosts US LNG Exports

The Atlantic hurricane season has reached its peak without a major storm, creating an opportunity for US LNG terminals to operate at increased capacity. This is significant as it allows feedgas deliveries to run above last year's pace by over 2 Bcf/d.

The lack of hurricanes means that LNG exports can continue uninterrupted, with no need for facilities to shut down due to storm damage or other weather-related issues. This trend has been observed throughout the season, with feedgas flows outpacing 2025 levels by a significant margin.

The absence of tropical development is attributed in part to the El Niño phenomenon, which suppresses hurricane formation. As a result, US LNG exports are poised for growth, benefiting from the favorable weather conditions.
