India Confirms Fuel Supplies Uninterrupted Amid Strait of Hormuz Closure
The Indian government has reassured citizens that fuel supplies remain stable across the country. Speaking at an inter-ministerial press briefing, Joint Secretary Sujata Sharma stated that crude oil inventories are sufficient and refineries are operating at full capacity.
No dry-outs have been reported at petrol pumps or LPG distributorships. However, LPG supply remains under close monitoring due to concerns about availability.
To prioritize household consumption, the sale of commercial LPG cylinders has been partially restored. Authorities have also encouraged commercial users to switch to piped natural gas (PNG) connections wherever feasible.
