Reports have been circulating about changes to LPG gas cylinder booking rules in India. According to some claims, the government has revised the LPG booking period to 35 days.

However, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas debunked these claims as misinformation. They stated that no such changes have been made to the existing lock-in periods for LPG refill bookings.

The current rules dictate a 45-day lock-in period for rural households, while urban areas have a 25-day lock-in period. These measures are in place to prevent hoarding and black marketing of LPG across the country.
