India Gold Prices Soar Amid Fresh Positions

Gold prices surged to Rs 1.62 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Wednesday, while silver rose to Rs 2.45 lakh per kg.

The October gold futures contract increased by Rs 115, or 0.07%, to Rs 1,62,997 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), with a business turnover of 674 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to fresh positions created by market participants amid firm spot demand.
