Gold prices in India have seen an increase on August 12, 2026. According to Good Returns, the price of 24K gold stands at Rs 15,486 per gram, marking a rise of Rs 104 from the previous day's rate. The 22K and 18K gold rates are also higher, at Rs 14,195 per gram and Rs 11,614 per gram respectively.

The global situation has been volatile due to tensions in West Asia, with the US-Iran agreement breaking down after a short-lived truce. This has led to increased uncertainty in the energy sector, causing investors to turn towards gold as a safe-haven asset.

Local markets are reflecting this global instability, with domestic gold prices fluctuating daily based on international spot values, government import tariffs, and currency exchange rates.
