India Overtakes UAE, Saudi Arabia as Kenya's Top Petrol Supplier Amid Middle East Crisis

India has emerged as Kenya's largest source of petroleum products, surpassing traditional suppliers Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The shift in supply comes amidst the Middle East crisis caused by the US-Iran war, which disrupted global fuel-trading routes.

According to energy economist Anas Alhajji, India has replaced the UAE and Saudi Arabia as the supplier of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and fuel oil to Kenya, citing data from Kpler.

The US-Iran war in the Middle East led Kenya to turn to India for its fuel supplies, rather than relying on government-backed agreements with Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi's ADNOC, and the Emirates National Oil Company.
