India Secures Full LPG Supply Amidst West Asia Crisis
The Indian government has ensured a full supply of LPG cylinders to domestic households amidst the ongoing West Asia crisis. According to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, no dry-outs have been reported at LPG distributorships.
Online LPG cylinder bookings increased to 99% yesterday, while OTP-based deliveries rose to over 94%. The ministry also conducted more than 1,700 raids across the country to curb hoarding and black marketing of LPG.
In related news, refineries in Mumbai, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Mathura, and Gujarat have sold over 10,000 metric tonnes of propylene and 1,200 metric tonnes of butyl acrylate since April. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways reported that all Indian seafarers in the region are safe.
