India Sets Refinery Production Targets for Cooking Gas Supplies
The Indian government has set maximum LPG production targets for individual refineries and upstream companies to ensure domestic supply in case of disruptions.
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry issued an order on August 13, specifying maximum LPG production levels for 21 refineries and upstream companies, with a combined potential output of 63,810 tonnes per day.
Reliance Industries Ltd's older refinery has been ordered to produce up to 18,000 tonnes a day of LPG. This is the largest quota among all the refiners and upstream companies listed in the order.
