India to Consider Hike in MSP for Wheat and Barley Ahead of Sowing Season

The Indian government is likely to consider an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of six Rabi crops, including wheat and barley. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) will meet at 11am today to discuss this proposal.

The MSP revision will be for the Rabi Marketing Season 2027-28. For the previous season, the MSP was fixed at Rs 2,585 per quintal for wheat and Rs 2,150 for barley.
