The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has successfully facilitated the export of frozen food products from Sonipat in Haryana to Canada. The consignment, led by Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), included a variety of products such as green peas, mixed vegetables, sweet corn, and samosas.

The shipment, valued at 35,140 Canadian dollars, comprised 2,295 boxes of frozen food products. This export is significant as it marks another step towards expanding international market opportunities for Indian processed food products.

APEDA Chairman Abhishek Dev congratulated the exporter and stakeholders on this achievement, noting that direct exports by FPOs would significantly enhance value realisation for producers.
