Indian Gold Prices Soar to Rs 1.45 Lakh Per 10 Grams Amid Strong Demand
Gold prices in India rose sharply on Wednesday due to strong spot demand and fresh positions created by speculators. The price of gold futures increased by Rs 1,151 to Rs 1.45 lakh per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). This represents a gain of 0.8% from the previous day's prices.
The October delivery contracts for gold traded higher in a business turnover of 784 lots. Globally, gold futures also rose by 1.53% to USD 4,140.48 per ounce in New York, which may have contributed to the increase in local prices.
