Gold prices in India continued their volatile trend on September 25, 2026, as investors struggled to assess the prospects for US interest rates and the US dollar. Despite a fall from August highs, gold prices within the country remained high.

The price of 24K gold was at ₹15,284 per gram, with 10 grams costing ₹1,52,840. The price of 22K gold stood at ₹14,010 per gram for 10 grams and ₹1,40,100 respectively. Meanwhile, the price of 18K gold was at ₹11,463 per gram for 10 grams and ₹1,14,630 respectively.

The international market had a significant impact on domestic prices, with the price of gold futures in the United States reaching $4,324.80. The strengthening US dollar and interest rate rises may affect the price of gold as it does not earn any interest.
