Indian Gold Prices Steady Amid Mixed Global Cues
Gold prices in India remained relatively steady on September 10, with 24K gold trading near ₹1.54 lakh per 10 grams. The domestic market was influenced by mixed global cues, as investors awaited fresh US inflation data for clues about the Federal Reserve's next interest-rate decision.
The national benchmark for 24K gold stood at ₹1,54,300 per 10 grams, while Delhi and Lucknow quoted higher prices of ₹1,54,450. The softer US dollar provided some support to bullion, but uncertainty around the Fed's September meeting and geopolitical tensions continued to drive volatility.
The MCX gold futures contract remained volatile, with the October contract trading at ₹1,53,980 per 10 grams around noon. This was up from the previous level by ₹217, after touching an intraday high of ₹1,54,450.
