Indian Gold Prices Surge Amid Ongoing Middle East Tensions
The gold price in India has seen an increase over the past day, reaching Rs 16,309 per gram for 24 carat gold. This represents a gain of Rs 152 from yesterday's prices. The 22 carat and 18 carat gold prices have also risen, standing at Rs 14,950 and Rs 12,232 per gram respectively.
The current global market situation is characterized by ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, which has resulted in high crude oil prices. International crude benchmarks stand at $86.64 for WTI Crude and $94.39 for Brent Crude, with Brent crude seeing a gain of over 7% in the last five sessions.
The turmoil in the Middle East has led investors to seek safe-haven assets like gold, causing domestic bullion markets to fluctuate based on global spot prices and government policies.
