Indian rice export prices have hit their highest level in nearly 10 months. The increase is due to rising domestic paddy prices, shrinking supply, and a recovering international market demand.

The price of Indian parboiled rice with 5% broken grains rose to $358-364 per ton compared to $356-361 per ton last week. Meanwhile, the price of white rice with 5% broken grains was offered at $357-363 per ton.

Traders are closely monitoring the upcoming harvest amid concerns about yield, which has contributed to the price increase. A trader in New Delhi said that foreign demand for rice is gradually recovering as Indian rice remains competitive in price despite recent increases.
