Indian Stocks Decline Amid Rising Crude Oil Prices
The Indian stock market began Wednesday's session in negative territory, as higher crude oil prices weighed on investor sentiment.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, traded 1.24% higher at USD 90.01 per barrel.
VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments Limited, attributed the market's decline to the strengthening Brent crude price, which has surpassed the USD 89 level once again.
The Sensex and Nifty indices also declined, with the BSE benchmark dropping 211.37 points to 77,953.66 and the Nifty trading 65.10 points down at 24,411.15.
