National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) is revamping India's cooperative export ecosystem by linking surplus products of cooperatives to global markets and enhancing market access and price realization for members.

The Ministry of Cooperation reports that 16,408 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and cooperative societies have joined NCEL so far. The organization has facilitated exports of 54 agricultural commodities, including rice, wheat, maize, sugar, onion, and cumin. Overall, 15.40 lakh metric tonnes of agricultural commodities have been exported, with shipments worth ₹6,341 crore reaching 38 countries.

NCEL supports the entire export value chain, covering procurement, storage, processing, certification, branding, packaging, marketing, and international trade. The initiative aims to empower cooperatives to participate more effectively in global markets and secure better returns for their products.
