India's First LNG-Powered Train Rolled Out in Gujarat

Union Minister Amit Shah recently flagged off India's first LNG-powered train from Sabarmati station in Gujarat, marking a significant shift towards cleaner energy for the country's railways. The train uses a dual-fuel system powered by both diesel and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). This initiative is seen as a step towards achieving India's net-zero carbon goals.

Mr. Shah also launched several railway development projects worth over 1,500 crore rupees during the event. In his address, he highlighted the major transformation Indian Railways has undergone in the past 12 years under the current government's leadership.
