India's Gold Price Sees Uptick Amid Global Economic Pressures
The gold price in India has seen an increase over the past day, standing at Rs 15,284 per gram for 24 carat gold, according to Good Returns. This represents a rise of Rs 16 from September 24's rate. The prices of 22 and 18 carat gold have also increased by Rs 15 and Rs 12 respectively.
Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus.com, attributes the pressure on Indian bullion markets to the global interest-rate outlook following the US Federal Reserve's policy rate hike. He cautions leveraged traders to be more cautious due to potential large price swings.
The current prices of gold in different cities across India are as follows: Chennai (Rs 15,284), Mumbai (Rs 15,284), Delhi (Rs 15,299), Kolkata (Rs 15,284), Bangalore (Rs 15,284), Hyderabad (Rs 15,284), Pune (Rs 15,284), Vadodara (Rs 15,289), and Ahmedabad (Rs 15,289).
