India's Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid Global Market Fluctuations
Gold prices in India remained relatively steady on August 3, 2026, with only a marginal decline from the previous day. The price of 24-carat gold was ₹14,421 per gram, down by ₹1 from ₹14,422, while 22-carat and 18-carat gold also decreased to ₹13,219 and ₹10,815 per gram, respectively.
The small decline in prices suggests that domestic retail rates remained stable despite movements in global markets. Silver prices also eased slightly, with a price of ₹234.90 per gram and ₹2,34,900 per kilogram, down by ₹100 per kg compared to the previous session.
Global gold prices rose slightly despite a sharp fall in crude oil prices, which eased inflation concerns and provided support to gold prices. The dollar was weak due to Japanese government interventions, making gold cheaper for those buying it in other currencies.
