India's Gold Prices Remain Steady Ahead of Festive Season
Gold and silver prices in India remained stable on September 6, with gold trading at ₹1,53,340 per 10 gm and silver at ₹2,37,170 per kg. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw gold futures rise by 0.03% to ₹1,52,815 per 10 gm, while silver futures dropped by 0.07% to around ₹2,37,500 per kg.
The prices of gold in India are influenced by several factors, including the international gold price, the exchange rate of the US Dollar, and domestic jewellery demand, especially ahead of the festive season. The retail market mainly trades in two purities: 24-karat and 22-karat gold.
