India's Petrol Prices Remain Stable Across Major Cities
As of August 30, 2026, petrol prices in India have been relatively stable across various cities. In Delhi, the current price is ₹102.12 per litre. Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata have prices of ₹103.54, ₹107.74, and ₹113.51 respectively.
The country imports around 80% of its oil needs, making domestic pump rates dependent on international prices. The Indian basket of crude oil sets the benchmark for daily price reviews by state-owned fuel retailers - IOC, BPCL, and HPCL.
