Stock markets in India climbed higher on Tuesday as crude oil prices fell and geopolitical tensions eased in West Asia. The Sensex, India's benchmark index, rose by 152.7 points to 76,988.48, while the Nifty gained 44.95 points to reach 24,040.90.

The decline in oil prices was led by Brent crude, which fell 1.44% to $87.09 per barrel. Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money, attributed this drop to renewed talks with Iran easing concerns about potential supply disruptions.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth Rs 1,688.23 crore on Monday, but the market remained bullish as buying in IT stocks supported the positive trend.
