Indonesia has started cutting its natural gas exports to Singapore as part of a broader effort to secure domestic energy supplies. The move comes under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, which aims to strengthen energy security for Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
The head of SKK Migas, the government agency overseeing Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas sector, announced the reduction on Saturday. Pipeline-gas deliveries to Singapore will be trimmed by about 31 million standard cubic feet per day to support domestic energy generation.
