Indonesia's Corn Distribution Efforts Exceed Target Amid Food Security Concerns
The Indonesian government's efforts to maintain food supply and price stabilization have reached a significant milestone. Perum Bulog, the state-owned logistics company, has recorded that the realization of corn distribution under the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program has surpassed its target for 2026.
As of September 28th, 2026, Perum Bulog reported that it had distributed 159.3 thousand tons of corn, accounting for approximately 66.05% of the total distribution target of 241.2 thousand tons set for this year.
The program aims to ensure the availability and affordability of feed corn for national farmers, a crucial component in maintaining food security and stability in the country.
