The price of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa has risen to $4.34 per gallon, up 23 cents from last week's price and $1.42 from a year ago, according to AAA.
The increase is part of a broader trend for global crude oil prices, which fell by $11.37 per barrel on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) this week and are currently priced at $92.64.
In contrast, Brent crude oil prices fell by just $4.89 and remain at $102.73.
