Iran Aims to Restore Lost Gas Production by September

Iran's oil minister, Mohsen Paknejad, has announced that the country lost about 95 million cubic metres of natural gas production due to infrastructure damage caused by its war with the US and Israel.

The damaged facilities are located in Asaluyeh, Bushehr province, where some gas processing units were affected. However, the minister noted that the impact was largely offset by utilizing capacity at other refineries.

Paknejad said that reconstruction of the four damaged refineries is proceeding simultaneously and at an accelerated pace. He added that debris removal has been completed, and contractors have begun operations, with a goal to complete the reconstruction ahead of schedule.

The minister also mentioned that some gas production would remain unavailable during winter and encouraged optimising gas supply and consumption to avoid disruption to services.
