Iran-Backed Rebels Clashed with Saudi Forces as Oil Prices Surpass $100
Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed that Saudi-backed forces launched dozens of airstrikes across four provinces on Tuesday, following rebel attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.
The strikes reportedly targeted Taiz, Hodeida, Jawf, and Marib provinces, with 32 airstrikes carried out overnight. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
This escalation comes a day after Houthi attacks on several oil facilities and utilities in Saudi Arabia wounded 73 people.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported that Iranian forces had struck eight oil tankers and two U.S. vessels in retaliation for U.S. strikes on five Iranian tankers on Tuesday.
