Iran Generates $18 Billion in Oil Sales During War and Ceasefire
Iran's oil minister, Mohsen Paknejad, announced that his country sold $11.5 billion worth of oil during the recent war and an additional $6.5 billion during a subsequent ceasefire.
The increased exports were made possible by lower risks to tanker traffic, allowing Iran to sell part of its stored crude oil and gas condensate, approximately 100 million barrels.
This revenue generation exceeded more than 60% of the oil revenue forecast in Iran's annual budget, according to Paknejad.
