Iran: No Oil Sales in Region if We Can't Sell

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has reiterated his warning that no one will be able to sell oil in a region where Iran cannot do so. This comes after US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper claimed American forces had full control of the Strait of Hormuz and halted Iran's oil exports.

Qalibaf posted his message on social media, referencing comments he made on July 22. He stated that 'the equation of this war is clear: either all or none!'

In other words, if Iran cannot sell oil in the region, no one else will be able to do so either. This warning is particularly relevant given the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, which accounts for a fifth of global oil demand.
