Iran Rejects Trump's Fake Attack Video on Kharg Island

Iranian officials have dismissed as 'laughable' an AI-generated video posted by US President Donald Trump, claiming that Kharg Island was being attacked.

The video showed what appeared to be a devastating explosion on the island, which handles around 90% of Iran's oil exports. However, Iranian officials stated that operations were continuing as normal and conditions on the island remained calm.

The US had earlier launched strikes against rocket launchers on Larak Island, more than 600km from Kharg. The strikes targeted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces, which were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz.

In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Jordan, targeting two US bases. While some missiles were intercepted by Jordanian forces, several soldiers and citizens were reportedly killed or wounded in the attack.
