Iran Sees $1 Billion Oil Revenue Boost Amid US Economic Pressure
Iran's oil revenues have seen a significant boost in recent days, with over $1 billion entering the country in just 11 days. This surge in revenue comes as part of the period ending September 2, according to reports from the semi-official Fars News Agency.
The additional funds will increase the Central Bank's ability to meet Iran's foreign currency needs. The report also noted that oil sales during the first five months of the current fiscal year have generated revenues equivalent to over 80% of the projected income in Iran's 2026-27 budget.
This comes as Washington has intensified economic pressure on Tehran, launching 'Operation Economic Outcast' aimed at cutting Iran off from global financial channels. The US has also imposed new sanctions targeting dozens of entities and individuals, broadening secondary sanctions risks for parties continuing to do business with Tehran.
