Iran's oil ministry has revealed that it sold $18 billion worth of oil during the recent war and ensuing ceasefire with the United States. This figure breaks down into $11.5 billion in sales during the conflict and $6.5 billion during the subsequent ceasefire, which collapsed earlier this month.

The ministry stated that these revenues cover more than 60 percent of the oil revenues forecast in the year's budget despite the crisis.

Iran's parliament speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf had previously claimed that Iran was unable to export any oil during the US blockade on its ports, but this recent figure suggests otherwise.
