Iran Threatens Regional Oil Export Disruption Amid Strait of Hormuz Tensions

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has warned that no country in the region will be able to sell oil if Tehran is prevented from exporting its own crude. This statement comes amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the US over oil exports, sanctions, and freedom of navigation.

The Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway through which more than 1 billion barrels of crude oil have passed in recent months with US military assistance, has been subject to severe restrictions on Iranian oil exports. The US claims it has an 'ironclad blockade' in place, while Iran says its own oil exports have fallen to zero due to the war and sanctions.

Qalibaf criticized US President Donald Trump's recent remarks on the Strait of Hormuz, saying that if Tehran's security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe. He also warned that any further pressure could trigger a rapid Iranian response.
