Iran Threatens Regional Oil Trade Over Strait of Hormuz Blockade

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has warned that no country in the region will be able to sell oil if Iran is prevented from doing so. This statement comes as Iran faces severe restrictions on its oil exports due to ongoing conflict with Washington and US sanctions.

In August, Iran's Central Bank governor reported that the country's oil exports had fallen to zero, citing war and sanctions as the reasons.

Qalibaf also emphasized that if Iran's security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe. He referenced recent remarks by US President Donald Trump concerning the Strait of Hormuz and claimed they were a repetition of earlier US claims.
