Iran-US Phased Deal Sparks Oil Price Stability
Oil prices steadied on September 24, 2026, as US and Iranian negotiators reportedly explored a phased deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The development came as Brent crude dropped toward $106 a barrel, after increasing by over 7% in the previous two days. West Texas Intermediate also fell below $94.
The negotiations took place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, with both countries pushing for a breakthrough according to a person familiar with the discussions.
