Iranian Oil Tankers Sent Back by Afghanistan Over Quality Concerns

Afghanistan's Nimroz province has sent back 43 oil tankers imported from Iran after quality checks revealed they were substandard. The move was prompted by concerns over poor-quality petroleum products being brought into the country through its key trade gateway with Iran.

Nematullah Talha, the director general of oil and gas in Nimroz, urged traders to prioritize national interests when importing fuel and avoid bringing in low-quality products.

The quality checks were carried out after sampling and technical assessments. The tanker's condition has not been specified further.
