Iran's Aggressive Stance Sparks Oil Price Rally
Oil prices rose on Tuesday as tensions between the US and Iran escalated, heightening concerns about energy supply.
The Brent crude futures climbed 27 cents to $91.14, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 42 cents at $85.04 a barrel.
A senior Iranian official said that the country would adopt a 'fully offensive' military posture due to stalled efforts to negotiate a permanent end to the war with the US.
The US had ruled out extending a temporary ceasefire agreement, and Washington's stance was seen as a major blow to hopes for a peace deal.
