Iran's Oil-Sales System Exposed: Security Agencies Involved in Corruption

An Iranian journalist and researcher claims that Iran's oil-sales system has become a security-driven operation involving individuals and networks outside of the Oil Ministry.

In an interview on his YouTube channel, Yashar Soltani argues that the government has abandoned transparency and accountability in the sale of one of Iran's most important public assets, using sanctions as a pretext.

Soltani names Hossein Shamkhani, the son of Ali Shamkhani, and Ruhollah Razavi as oil sellers and major debtors to the country. He estimates that around 1,600 people are involved in various parts of the network.
