Iran's War with US and Israel Cuts Gas Output by 95 Million Cubic Metres

Iran's war with the US and Israel has taken a significant toll on its natural gas output. According to Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad, the country lost about 95 million cubic metres of gas production due to infrastructure damage.

The lost production is expected to be restored by the end of September as authorities work with contractors to rebuild damaged facilities in Asaluyeh, Bushehr province. Some gas processing facilities were damaged but this was largely offset by using capacity at other refineries.

Reconstruction of the four damaged refineries is proceeding simultaneously and at an accelerated pace, with debris removal already completed and contractors beginning operations. The timeline suggests that the full lost capacity will return to the gas production network ahead of schedule.
